Mission Statement

The mission of Sphoorthi is to make a positive difference in the lives of Senior Citizens and Children, primarily through a peaceful, disciplined, nurturing and professionally supported environment, and to assist them in achieving their highest potential to become confident, competent and caring individuals, by providing love, care and leadership with standards of excellence.

An orphan exists,
because a parent had failed,
because we failed to parent another's child,
because our love is limited to ourselves.

A poor child exists,
because a society had failed,
because we failed to price love’s treasures,
because our love is possessed by only tradables.
Children never fail, only we.

A melancholic child exists,
because our kindness had failed,
because our kindness is unkind,
because our love never touched them.
Children never fail, only we.

An illiterate child exists,
because our education had failed,
because we learned to teach and preach
but only to our own kind,
because nobody's child is not ours', too.

A labouring child exists,
because we chose to leisure,
because we ‘innovated’ new ways to
make work ‘fun’, because we may rob
other’s smiles to ‘enrich’ those of our own.

A starving child exists,
because opulence induced us into sleep,
because 'tiny things' do not matter to us,
because if he is not ours, he might as well, be no one,
because we never dared to go after their woes.
Children never fail, only we.

A pretentious child exists,
because the child in us perished,
because we always volunteered to offer only
pretensions, free of cost,
because children were sold 'pretensions'
in exchange for their love and smiles.
